Building Manufacturing Leaders Who Build Better Systems
Pierce Production Systems was built through years of leading manufacturing operations, improving production systems, and helping organizations achieve measurable, sustainable performance.
Every manufacturing result is produced by an operating system. Understanding that system is where lasting improvement begins.
More Than a Consulting Company
Pierce Production Systems was not created from theory.
It was developed through years of leading manufacturing operations, solving production challenges, improving performance, and working alongside the people responsible for producing results every day.
Throughout my career, I noticed the same pattern regardless of the company, product, or industry.
When performance declined, organizations often responded by implementing another improvement program, purchasing new equipment, creating additional reports, or holding more meetings.
Sometimes those actions produced temporary gains.
Often they did not.
The reason became increasingly clear.
The problem was rarely the individual issue being addressed.
The problem was the operating system producing that issue.
That realization became the foundation of Pierce Production Systems.
Today, PPS helps manufacturers understand the systems producing their current results so they can build organizations capable of continuous improvement, stronger leadership, and sustainable operational performance.
Cory Pierce
Founder | Pierce Production Systems
For more than a decade, I have led manufacturing operations across multiple industries, serving in leadership positions including Production Supervisor, Production Manager, Process Engineer, and Operations Leader.
Throughout my career, I have focused on understanding how production systems function, how people interact with those systems, and how leadership influences operational performance.
Rather than relying on generic improvement programs or isolated Lean tools, I believe sustainable improvement comes from understanding the complete operating system that produces an organization's results.
That philosophy has guided every manufacturing operation I have led and ultimately became the foundation of Pierce Production Systems.
Real Manufacturing Results
The principles behind Pierce Production Systems have been developed and refined through measurable operational improvement across multiple manufacturing organizations.
Polytek Development Corporation
Built and launched a second production shift to increase manufacturing capacity.
Increased production from approximately 3,000–3,500 units to approximately 10,000 units per shift through systematic process improvements.
Developed standardized operating methods that were later adopted across production.
Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet
Reduced a nine-month production backlog to approximately two weeks ahead of schedule.
Eliminated routine overtime by redesigning production flow and improving operational planning.
Developed standardized work instructions and production processes that improved consistency and efficiency.
Pactiv Evergreen
Led manufacturing operations for more than fifty production employees while improving operational performance during a period of organizational transition.
Focused on leadership development, accountability, process improvement, and production stability.
LuxWall
Improved manufacturing yield from approximately 30–40% to nearly 90%.
Increased daily production from approximately 50–60 units to consistently exceeding 250 units, with peak performance surpassing 320 units.
Reduced production changeovers from approximately 90 minutes to twenty minutes.
Improved production flow by combining operator engagement, process engineering, standardized work, and systematic operational analysis.
Every Result Has a Cause
One of the greatest mistakes manufacturing organizations make is treating operational problems as isolated events.
Production declines.
Quality suffers.
Downtime increases.
Employee turnover rises.
Leadership reacts by addressing each individual symptom.
Pierce Production Systems approaches manufacturing differently.
Every measurable result is being produced by an operating system.
When leadership understands that operating system, recurring problems become understandable, improvement becomes repeatable, and organizational capability begins to grow.
The objective is not simply solving today's problem.
The objective is building an operating system capable of producing better results tomorrow.
Building Capability, Not Dependence
Pierce Production Systems was created to help manufacturers become stronger long after a consulting engagement has ended.
The goal is never to create dependence on an outside consultant.
The goal is to help organizations develop leaders who understand their operating systems, make better decisions, improve performance continuously, and build cultures capable of sustaining operational excellence.
True improvement is measured not by what a consultant accomplishes during an engagement, but by what an organization continues to achieve years after that engagement is complete.
That is the standard Pierce Production Systems exists to pursue.
